Viola Mariner

Soloist
She started to study the technique of ballet in the Ballet school of prof. E. Schlemitz–Schwamberger in 1993. In 2005 she graduated from the Wiener Staatsoper Ballet Academy.
 
In the season 2004/2005 she was member of the Wiener Staatsballett. The following season she joined Jthe unior Ballet Company in Zurich. In 2006 she became a member of the Ballet of the Slovak National Theatre. In the season 2008/2009 she was in the company RenaissDance Simona Noja & Boris Nebyla. In 2009 she returned to the Slovak National Theatre, where she was promoted to soloist in 2010.
 
Her repertory with the Ballet of the Slovak National Theatre includes principal roles such as Juliet (Romeo and Juliet, ch. M. Moricone), Tatiana (Onegin, ch. V. Medvedev), Sylphide (La Sylphide, ch. A. Bournonville), Angelika (Angelika, ch. M. de Candia), Titania (A Midsummer Night’s Dream, ch. Y. Vámos), Nijinsky’s Mother (Nijinsky – God of Dance, ch. D. de Andrade) and solo parts as Lilac Fairy, Diamond, Candid Fairy (Sleeping beauty, ch. V. Malakhov), Myrha, Bathilda, Zulma (Giselle, ch. R. Avnikian after J. Perrot, J. Coralli), Mercedes, Queen of Dryads (Don Quixote, ch. V. Medvedev, S. Fečo after M. Petipa), Pirate Dance – solo, Jardin anime –solo (Le Corsaire, ch. V. Medvedev, S. Fečo after M.
