Olga Chelpanova

First soloist
In 2004 she graduated at the Secondary Arts School under the Head of the Komi Republic and, in 2006, at the College of Arts of the Komi Republic. In 2013 she graduated at the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts in Moscow (RATI, known as GITIS).
 
Since 2006 she is a leading soloist with the Sapaev Mari Opera and Ballet Theatre. In 2017 she joined as soloist the Ballet of the Slovak National Theatre in Bratislava; in 2018 she was promoted to leading soloist.
 
Her repertory with the Ballet of the Slovak National Theatre includes principal roles such as Odette/Odile (Swan Lake, ch. R. Avnikian after M. Petipa), Esmeralda (La Esmeralda, ch. V. Medvedev, S. Fečo), Masha (The Nutcracker, ch. R. Avnikian, J. Dolinský), Medora (La Corsaire, ch. V. Medvedev, S. Fečo), Giselle (Giselle, ch. R. Avnikian after J. Perrot, J . Coralli), Kitri (Don Quixote, ch. V. Medvedev, S. Fečo after M. Petipa), Oona Chaplin (Chaplin, The Tramp – Homage to the Prodigy, ch. D. de Andrade) and Solo (Thais, ch. N. Poláková).
 
Her repertory outside the SND includes principal roles such as Girl (Bolero), Carmen (Carmen Suite), Amor, She (Carmina Burana), Lesbian (Catulli Carmina), 7th waltz and Prelude (Chopiniana), Cinderella, Spring Fairy, Autumn Fairy (Cinderella), Queen of Dryads, Kitri, Grand pas, Kitri’s friend (Don Quixote), Peasant pas de deux, Giselle (Giselle), Nikia, Gamzatti (La Bayadère), Esmeralda, Fleur de Lys (La Esmeralda), Grand pas (La fille mal gardée), Medora (Le Corsaire), Hermia (Midsummer Night’s Dream), Soloist (Orpheus and Eurydice), Juliet (Romeo and Juliet), Phrygia (Spartacus – The Triumph of Rome), Margarita (The Master and Margarita), Princess Aurora (Sleeping Beauty) and Bacchante (Walpurgis Night from the opera Faust).
